I continue to explore multi-media two-dimensional work with emphasis on the retablo form within abstract spaces. Most recently, I have begun concentrating on the abstract quality of natural landscapes- the play of light against a wall of trees or the abstract quality of a sundrenched arroyo. My work has, in turn, moved further into the area between drawing and painting; emphasizing layers of media to suggest atmosphere and an attempt to find that illusive ethereal space beyond the surface of the painting.
My wish is my work will be recognized for texture, form, color and an always present spirit. My hope is the viewer will experience my work in a personal way- bearing in mind his or her own spirituality.
